Despite being strongly linked to a move to Real Madrid, goalkeeper David De Gea is part of Manchester United's summer tour to the United States that will also feature the club's newest acquisitions for the first time.

De Gea, whose current deal with United ends next summer, has not signed a new contract and has been drawing strong interest from Real.

But Manchester United is not willing to part ways with the 24-year-old who is the club's reigning Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.

A report from The Guardian claims that the inclusion of De Gea in the 26-man U.S. tour squad is not an assurance of his future with the club as he can still leave for Real Madrid especially with the departure of Iker Casillas who joined Porto.

Before Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal named De Gea to the roster for the international tour, the report said the departure of Casillas may have "firmed up" De Gea's move to Bernabéu.

The clubs are still open to a deal and one option is a trade sending Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos to Manchester United for De Gea.

But that looks far-fetched now as reports say Ramos has been named Los Blancos captain for next season.

Along with De Gea, United will also be joined in the U.S. tour by the club's offseason additions. These are winger Memphis Depay, defender Matteo Darmian with midfielders Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin.

Depay was inked for £25 million from PSV Eindhoven while Darmian is coming from Torino and was signed for £12.9 million.

Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich) and Schneiderlin's (Southampton) deals were completed Monday and they were signed for £14.5 million and £25 million, respectively.

Manchester United will have four scrimmages in their U.S. tour and will take on Club America, San Jose Earthquakes, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, according to ESPN.
