Manchester City may have been eyeing French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris but according to Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino there goalie will not be going anywhere and will be with them in their 2015-2016 campaign.

"Hugo wants to play the Champions League here for Tottenham and everything else is just rumours," Pochettino said according to the Daily Express.

"Nothing is true and nothing has changed with the situation. He is happy here and wants to reach the Champions League with Tottenham that is his dream," he added.

Pochettino also spoke about Tottenham reaching the top four this season and said, "This season realistically it is very difficult to reach the top four. We need to try and we have five games ahead – but at the same time I don't want to lie. It is not easy to reach the top four."

Lloris inked a £10 million deal with Tottenham in August of 2012 from Lyon and has been a valuable piece for Pochettino in 99 appearances for the club.

But the 28-year-old has been out of action since March when he sustained a deep cut in a 4-3 win over Leicester after colliding with defender and teammate Kyle Walker, according to the Daily Express.

The Daily Express also reported that Lloris' time while he was out of action linked him to a possible move to Manchester United.

United is targeting Lloris as a replacement for David De Gea once Real Madrid succeeds in acquiring the Spaniard which has been a long-term goal for the club.

De Gea's future is in his hands according to Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.

But the 24-year-old seems to be unsure of his fate for now and told a Spanish newspaper according to the Daily Mail, "We will see what happens regarding my future. Right now I'm on holiday."
