Manny "Pac-man" Pacquiao not only wanted to win in both boxing and the Philippines Senate, he also wants victory in the cryptocurrency market, as the boxer-turned-senator now strives for his own crypto money, which he calls PAC coin.

Pacquiao plans to venture into cryptocurrency first as an investor in blockchain firm Global Crypto Offering Exchange (GCOX). GCOX, in turn, will allow Pacquiao, among other celebrities to create their own cryptocurrencies, which they consider as Celebrity Tokens. These can be used by people to purchase goods and services related to the celebrity's GCOX platform. Now, Pacquiao aims to have one.

The said Celebrity Tokens can also be used to support the particular celebrity's works and advocacies such as charities and fundraisers. The star would have to be immensely popular first in order to have a successful and sustainable Celebrity Token, such is the case for Pacquiao who is a world-renowned boxing champion.

This also marks Pacquiao as the first celebrity in the Philippines to have a Celebrity Token cryptocurrency. Not really a hard feat to do for the senator, as he has a reported net worth of $3 billion with over 100 real properties and $250 million worth of investments. He is also the second billionaire in the Philippines Senate; needless to say, he is wealthy.

As for PAC coin, the name is derived from Pacquiao's boxing moniker Pac-man, which came about back when he was betting in cockfights as a young man. The boxer combined the first syllables of his first name and his last name, hence Pac-man which he also named his rooster with, and apparently the name stuck and the rest is history.

At the moment, PAC coin is still not ready for commercial use since the senator is still paving the way for his own cryptocurrency, though it should be available soon enough for those interested. It is only a matter of time before the Pac-man gets his PAC coins too.
