British contender Amir Khan is not closing his doors on a possible collision against former eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao amidst recent reports that he pulled out of the negotiations.

But this time, Khan would not be let down again unlike the in the past when he was linked to fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr. but was denied a number of times.

"To be honest with you I've just left it with my team, I am looking at other opponents at the same time. If it doesn't happen I've got plan B," Khan told Boxing News regarding his potential bout against Pacquiao.

In an earlier report by The National, the 28-year-old vented his frustrations, claiming that Pacquiao did not seem to have the interest to sign the contract which would set the bout and that Filipino boxing icon and his camp were "stalling."

Khan also shared with Boxing News, "There's contracts there. But I just want to make sure I've got plan B because it seems to me that Manny's team don't really want it but I don't know, I might be wrong."

In a previous report by ESPN, Pacquiao expressed his desire to have a rematch with Mayweather who defeated him last May in the richest fight in boxing history.

Pacquiao is aware that Mayweather already retired following a September bout against Andre Berto but if a rematch would be available, he would do it.

The 36-year-old's potential bout with Khan is reported to be his swan song to pursue his political career in the Philippines.

Since Pacquiao is still not locked as his next opponent, Khan has some possible replacements in mind, including top contenders like Danny Garcia, Timothy Bradley, Keith Thurman, Lamont Peterson, and Kell Brook.

The last time Khan fought was last May when he defeated Chris Algieri via unanimous decision to retain his World Boxing Council (WBC) silver welterweight championship.
