Manny Pacquiao next fight news: Are Manny Pacquiao and Bob Arum still on the same page? [VIDEO]

Manny Pacquiao has yet to name his opponent for April 9, 2016, something that should have been done and over with by now.

With an initial list of three names, his choices have now been technically reduced to one in Timothy Bradley Jr. But even that is up for questioning with reports that Bradley prefers to face Miguel Cotto than do a third fight with Pacquiao.

Amir Khan was the first one to bow out, turning his attention on Kell Brook. Terence Crawford, who, according to Fighthype.com, is a favorite of promoter Bob Arum, may be technically out as well, with reports from USA Today that he is set to defend his title this February.

Curiously, the one concerning Crawford came out after Pacquiao opted to delay the name of his opponent to early 2016.

With that said, there seems to be nothing left to announce, unless Pacquiao comes up with another name.

But one person who seems a bit disappointed is Bob Arum, who admitted that he was surprised, according to boxingscene.com, at the delay in announcing the eight-time division champion's next foe.

It seems that Arum wants someone new, while Pacquiao technically wants to go the easy route with Bradley Jr. And with that said, there seems to be some minor issues over at the Pacquiao's camp.

Crawford is a new name and someone who would likely pose problems for Pacquiao. And as far as Bradley is concerned, "Desert Storm" is a pretty different fighter from 2012 and 2014 as seen when he defeated Brandon Rios recently.

With a new trainer in Teddy Atlas, Pacquiao is unlikely to find it easy with Bradley. A rubber match between the two seems to be looming, but the thing is, Pacquiao will be in for a war against the "new and improved" Timothy Bradley Jr.
