Renowned boxing analyst Bob Sheridan recently weighed in on what could probably happen if Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao ends up facing Terence Crawford on April 9, 2016 in the eight-time division champion's alleged farewell fight.

According to Sheridan, Pacquiao will have to be 100% healthy and at his best to avert a possible demise at the hands of Crawford.

Crawford is a relatively unknown for the ones who have not yet seen him in action. He has proven to let out a big punch but that has yet to be proven on a bigger stage and against a big name fighter like Pacquiao.

But according to Sheridan who talked to OTR Boxing recently, Crawford should be able to handle the pressure against Pacquiao.

For now there is no certainty if it will indeed be Crawford whom Pacquiao will pick as his final opponent for his return and farewell match before venturing out in the world of politics. Pacquiao is all set to run for a senatorial seat where he has a high chance of winning.

Other names in the mix as possible opponents for Manny Pacquiao include Amir Khan and Timothy Bradley Jr. Khan has been longing for a fight after being shunned as Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s opponent last September.

Bradley, on the other hand, is coming off an impressive win over Brandon Rios recently and is looking for a deciding third bout with Pacquiao to see who the better fighter is.

Pacquiao was originally scheduled to announce his opponent before 2015 ends but it seems that plans for such has been moved for early 2016, according to trainer Freddie Roach.

According to Roach, Pacquiao will name his opponent once he heads out to Hollywood to commence training. Pacquiao is reportedly not leaning on anyone for now, although Roach wants Bradley Jr. while promoter Bob Arum is not too comfortable having Khan as Pacquiao's next opponent.
