Manny Pacquiao next fight news 2015: Amir Khan good as scrapped from list?

Amir Khan was hoping to land a big name fight but apparently, he has failed to do so. He failed to get a chance to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. and he could be headed toward another failure as he waits for Filipino fighter Manny Pacquiao to make his decision.

To date, Pacquiao has not officially named his opponent, although the rumor mill is buzzing that the guy he will face is most likely Timothy Bradley Jr. whom he will face for a third time.

Ranking Khan against Bradley and Terence Crawford, it was obvious that he wasn't the leading one so manager Eddie Hearn felt it was time to face reality and move on as he mentioned via Boxingscene.com.

Hearn reasons that if Khan keeps on waiting, it is like opportunity slipping away. This year, Khan was only able to fight once against Chris Algieri and spent most of the year chasing Mayweather and now, Pacquiao.

Kell Brook has long wanted a match with his countryman, although Khan repeatedly claimed he does not want to fight someone from his own land. But with whittled choices and time passing, Hearn may have finally knocked some sense into Khan and the two will most likely face off in 2016.

For now, the issue is when the two could meet. Brook was supposed to face Diego Chaves last October but pulled out due to injury. It remains to be seen when (and if) the match will be set.

Other than that, Brook has to face as well the mandatory challenger of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), Kevin Bizier.

The only thing certain right now is that a Khan vs. Brook fight will happen at the Wembley Stadium. Hearn did book the venue for June 4, but such is not an assurance yet that the fight will take place on that day.
