Manny Pacquiao vs. Amir Khan fight news 2015: Briton confident he will be Pacquaio's final opponent

Amir Khan just never learns the meaning of keeping quiet. After being hit for constantly jabbering regarding his next fight, Khan is at it again.

While he does have a case in saying that he has the inside track as Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao's final opponent, the official word on that has yet to be made.

Khan is among the shortlisted candidates Pacquiao is choosing from. The others are Terence Crawford and Timothy Bradley Jr. The list could be appended at some point, but the thing is Khan would do well not to be too confident of being the "chosen one" until it comes from Pacquiao's end.

The scenario isn't far from what Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s camp lashed out from. Before Andre Berto got the nod, he was believed to be the top prospect. However, Khan was told to keep a lid on it until an official announcement was made, but the southpaw didn't heed the warning.

As everyone knows, Khan got shunned by Mayweather, although he could make a case that the undefeated American boxer opted to end his career on a low note with Berto.

But Khan's constant rants have come pretty close of annoying lately. It wasn't too long ago he said that he was walking out of talks with the Pacquiao camp because he felt that fight negotiations were not getting anywhere.

He went on to add that Pacquiao was leaning more on a Mayweather fight until Top Rank promoter Bob Arum stepped in and scoffed his allegations.

From there, he said he would give Pacquiao and company one week to finish contract negotiations. It has been over a week now and nothing has been announced. So why is he still waiting?

The thing is, Khan feels he is in the same level as Mayweather and Pacquiao. Some would agree while others may not. Until both pound-for-pound boxers retire, Khan cannot really lay claim to it.

His constant talk has been getting him into more trouble than good. While he does have an inside track on being named as Pacquiao's final opponent, he may want to look at the other candidates.

Thus far, Crawford has been pretty impressive, while Bradley's performance has yet to be seen. Khan's last fight seems like a long time ago and if he is not careful, he might see other boxers overtaking him.
