Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather fight ticket sales: No free tickets, availability could be a problem

For Bob Arum, getting complimentary ticket requests when it comes to his boy Manny Pacquiao or any other fighter for that matter is only normal. But that is simply not the case for the upcoming Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. tiff, one that is considered the fight of the century.

Arum has been beseeched by calls left and right. However, he did make it clear – there will be no comps for seats to the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao mega fight which will be held on May 2, 2015 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

This means that big name stars like Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DiCaprio and Will Smith will have to pay for their tickets.

With ticket prices soaring like crazy and yet still being sold, anyone who could get away with some complimentary tickets for the fight of the century is bound to try his or her luck.

Though tickets to the fight have yet to be offered for sale, there is no doubt that one ticket will cost a lot of money. In fact, many expect them to sell at a starting price of $1,000, with ringside seats to cost as much as $5,000 each.

Even if the MGM Grand can accommodate 16,800 seats, people who have waited six long years for this fight to happen are surely going to spend their hard earned money. But apparently the problem is not on the price per ticket, but availability.

For Arum, his recourse is to direct people asking for tickets to MGM Grand. Aside from having to pay a stiff price for these tickets, folks who are planning to get ringside seats may encounter some problems in the process as well. This is because MGM Grand will only give ringside seats to customers who have a $250,000 credit. With that, the price of tickets can more or less be gauged.
