Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather fight news: Press conference set for March 11

The mega fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao is two months away and the two will face each other in a rare press conference on March 11. The event will however be limited to credited media so folks who are planning to catch a glimpse of the two fighters may as well shelve any plans of doing so.

With the popularity of the mega bout between Mayweather and Pacquiao, press conferences and promotions won't be much of a need. So hearing about a press conference on March 11 in Los Angeles is rare which could be one of only two press conferences to be held before the two fighters get it on this May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The other press conference is expected to be the final one before the two get into the ring.

Mayweather and Pacquiao have started their respective preparations for the fight. Mayweather has started training in his own gym in Las Vegas while Pacquiao has started as well at the iconic Wild Card gym over in Hollywood.

For Pacquiao, sparring will not commence until perhaps the third week of March. Trainer Freddie Roach is currently attending to Zou Shimming in Macau, leaving Pacquiao to train under Buboy Fernandez and Justin Fortune.

However, Roach did emphasize that the Wild Card gym will be 'shut down'. This means that the venue will be closed to onlookers and media once he starts working on Pacquiao.

With regards to Mayweather, fans can catch a glimpse of him through social media app, Shots. Mayweather is an investor for the said app where his staff would be posting images of his training.

Unlike Pacquiao, Mayweather seems to be welcoming visitors. Among the celebrities who watched Mayweather in training include actor Nicolas Cage.
