Mark Hall's wife wants people to use husband's ordeal to share the love of God
Casting Crown's Mark Hall has already finished undergoing surgery to remove his kidney and hopefully his cancer too, but his health ordeals are far from over.
His wife Melanie wrote on Casting Crown's Facebook page that "Mark was in a lot of pain today and having difficulty breathing."
His doctor had some concerns so they ran several tests on him just to be sure, but his wife is grateful that "all the bad stuff got ruled out. Heart and everything is ok. His incision is healing well."
What Mark needs to do now is handle his pain better and get his digestive system up and running again, she said. Melanie and the rest of Mark's family and friends really want to go home and put all the hardships behind them, but they are simply taking things one day and one moment at a time.
Melanie said that they might be going through something very difficult, but it will be worth it when people use their situation to spread God's love to other people.
"So many people don't understand why this would happen to Mark because he's so great and because he does so much for God. But many of you are getting opportunities to say God loves Mark and God loves you and God loves me. He is a just God. He is not a God that only gives blessing and favour on those that are 'good enough'! And in turn He also doesn't love you less when you aren't," she said.
Melanie quoted the Bible verses from Ephesians 2:4-5 which says, "But because of His great love for us, GOD, who is Rich in mercy, made us alive in Christ even when we were dead in our transgressions(sin) - it is by (His) Grace you have been saved."
She added that God's word is true and He is a just and loving God. "And he is no less my Father because He doesn't give me what I want, than I am any less mother to my children when I don't let them have their way or allow them to go through difficult things that I know will make them stronger," she explained.
