"Avengers" Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo is not getting angry over people who try to censor his political remarks. Instead, the superhero actor apparently finds it funny.

An outspoken environmental and anti-Trump advocate, Ruffalo has stated that it is only fair for celebrities to speak up about certain political events as well as their leanings. Hence, Ruffalo has voiced out his reply to the people who tell him to "shut up" regarding his political statements and advocacies during an interview with AM to DM by Buzzfeed.

"The president right now is a reality TV star, and I think that artists, in general, have quite a bit to say about culture and life. The kind of beautiful thing about being an actor is you get to see a lot of different aspects of life, people's lives. You enter them, you get to know them, so in some sense, I think we're actually well-positioned and have quite a lot to share and have a really deep understanding of the world in ways that probably a lot of politicians don't even have," expressed the 50-year-old actor.

Additionally, he also stated that actors and actresses spend a lot of time helping charities as well, and they have even participated in numerous good causes, some for public relations (PR), but some also have genuine interests in them. Ruffalo apparently falls on the latter seeing as how he continues to be a social justice and environmental activist despite his immense popularity and wealth.

Ruffalo's most recent political spotlight was when he lead the counter-event to US President Trump's State of the Union where he and other celebrities and political figures assembled at the front of The Town Hall in order to voice out their concerns against Trump's governance and other ills of society. They were joined by legions of activists from labor unions and organizers of the Women's March and Planned Parenthood.

Meanwhile, Ruffalo is set to reprise his role as the Incredible Hulk in "Avengers: Infinity War," which is set to premiere on April 25.
