"Married at First Sight" season 1 was such a big success that spin-off show "Married at First Sight: The First Year" followed. The latter TV series highlighted the two successful marriages from the first season, both of which choosing to continue on with their marriages.

Now, Season 2 of the FYI reality TV series has premiered and the contestants guested on "Today" to weigh in on the episode as well as the entire season.

Jaclyn Methuen became a hot topic when she was very vocal on thinking twice about marrying Ryan Ranellone because she found him unattractive. However, the reaction was completely the opposite for Ryan, who looked like he was the luckiest guy in the world when he saw Jaclyn walk down the aisle.

In the show, Jaclyn confessed that she did marry him, but also explained why she was hesitant. "I put so much pressure on my intuition. I thought I was going to know that this guy is my soulmate and we were going to have that connection and those sparks," she told Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoba Kotb.

The hosts continue to ask why would she say those things to the camera, Jaclyn explained "Because I was single for so long. I watched too many rom-coms. And while she knew it sounded silly, Jaclyn said she really thought her soul was going to recognize its counterpart in him.'[I thought] we were just going to light it up and it was going to be perfect."

As for Davina Kullar, she had no problems marrying Sean Varrichio but her problems lie with her family. Her mother wasn't present at the wedding and Davina shared that her mother disapproves of her doing the show.

"In my family, I have always been the risk taker... I took the risk. Another piece of this is that my family is from the West Coast and I wasn't able to sit down and look them in the eye and tell them [about the wedding]," she said.

Kathie Lee and Hoba asked if her mother will come around to the idea, Davina said that they have to "stay tuned."

As for Jessica Castro, she has trust issues due to her ex-fiance cheating on her. But she feels hopeful about the show and her marriage to Ryan. "I wasn't going to let my past define me. I wasn't going to just assume that I couldn't trust this person."

Dr. Joseph Cilona was also present in the "Today" show guesting. There, he explained that the matchmaking process was a result of 3,800 pages of research plus five psychological personality tests. Further, he also shared that he had help from three other specialists, a sexologist, a sociologist and a spiritual advisor Greg Epstein (present in Season 1).

"Married at First Sight" Season 2 Episode 2 premieres on March 24, Tuesday on FYI.
