"Married at First Sight" season 4 episode 13 will see the two remaining couples try to make their relationships stronger as they get to meet their in-laws. As with previous seasons, the couples will be spending one day with the man's parents and one day with the woman's parents.

As noted by a report from Movie News Guide, this time with the in-laws will particularly help Sonia and Nick. The couple had seen a rough struggle throughout the show and even got close to having a divorce. Nick admitted he was not attracted to Sonia, and Sonia had difficulties to get Nick to open up to her.

It is further explained that Nick's mother may help explain the situation and help Sonia understand her husband more. Nick's mother will reportedly confirm that Nick had always been a shy boy, even when he was young, and Sonia will need to work around this to get intimate with him.

Tom and Lilian, on the other hand, did hit a wall, but since then, they had renewed their wedding vows and were the strongest couple on the show thus far. How their in-laws will affect the direction their relationship will go is yet to be seen. Fans speculate that this trip may make their relationship stronger or introduce a new wrinkle.

This trip to the in-laws is particularly part of the Mother's Day celebrations, and for this reason, the couples will be spending more time with the mothers.

Derek and Heather will no longer be a part of this exercise given they had already divorced during the early half of the season. Heather did previously voice out some regret for giving up so easily and may be aiming to get a second chance, but there are no indications that they'll get back together so soon for Mother's Day and the trip to the in-laws.
