A new teaser trailer has been released for Marvel's upcoming strategy game, "Marvel Strike Force." With it came some details about the game, like the plot and part of the character roster available for play.

This mobile game is made by Marvel in cooperation with FoxNext games. The plot hook involves an entity named Ultimus, a Kree warlord that enjoys jumping to different dimensions with the sole purpose of taking over whole planets.

Ultimus reaches Earth wanting to devour the planet and this is where the gameplay kicks in. Much like the formation of the Avengers, the player will be working with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. with hopes of eliminating the threat.

The players are tasked to assemble a crew of Marvel's finest to fight against the Kree menace. Ultimus is expected to be the hardest challenge, but players will be battling other relatively weaker enemies as well.

Marvel fans will be delighted to know that the game will not skimp on its character offering. The Avengers will be included in the roster. The added heroes are Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, and Thor.

Besides Marvel's most popular superhero group, heroes like Star-Lord, Gamora, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange will be playable as well. However, the character list is by no means exhaustive, as the game will reportedly feature up to 70 playable characters.

While paid downloadable content (DLC) is common on both mobile and console gaming nowadays, there is no word yet on whether Marvel and FoxNext will put up some characters behind a paywall.

"Marvel Strike Force" will both have player versus player (PvP) and player versus environment (PvE) game modes. As for the actual gameplay, the playstyle is compared to "Baldur's Gate" where players control a team of characters in a variety of tactical battles.

Marvel and Foxnext is expected to release "Marvel Strike Force" in 2018.
