"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" is the latest game in the franchise that started many many years ago. While it did not exactly live up to many people's expectations for the game, it still is one that players need to try out for themselves. It would be easier to do so too as the game surprisingly became listed as an Xbox Play Anywhere title.

For those who are unaware of Microsoft's scheme, a title listed as an Xbox Play Anywhere title means that players who get the game either on the Windows PC or Xbox One can get the other platform's version for free. This means that "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" is sort of a buy-one-take-one package.

The advantage of these kinds of titles is that not only does it give the players the other platform's version, but players can also continue their progress on the other platform as well. It brings with them the save files and such so that players can play on either platform without worrying about their progress.

Note that this actually came as a surprise. As such, it is not exactly on the list of Xbox Play Anywhere games just yet, per IGN. The listing on the Microsoft Store also notes that it actually got a big discount now priced at $39.99 with the deluxe edition of the game now costing $59.99.

The Xbox Play Anywhere is a new scheme that presumably aims to connect PC and Xbox gamers. As of now, there are only a few number of games on the official list. This includes notable games such "Resident Evil 7," "Hello Neighbor," "Cuphead," and will soon even include "Sea of Thieves."

The game mechanics of this iteration of "Marvel vs. Capcom" is not something entirely new. It still features the iconic heroes and characters and places them against other characters. There is also a story mode, but players will find out what it is about when they buy the game.
