Video gamers can now anticipate seeing and being able to play with Rocket Raccoon and Groot in the upcoming video game, "Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite." This news comes just after the release of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."

The official Twitter for "Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite" confirmed the news by posting a short clip featuring the "Guardians of the Galaxy" characters.

In the tweet, only the appearance of Rocket Raccoon on "Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite" is confirmed, but Groot can also be seen in the short clip that was uploaded along with the tweet. This may mean that Groot will just be an accessory for Rocket and not actually playable in order to give Rocket more strength to defeat his opponent. Another assumption could be that the two characters come as a pair and will take turns with their different moves to cause destruction to the other team.

"Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite" is an upcoming fighting game where players will be able to use characters from Marvel and Capcom to fight each other until one of the players loses with an empty health bar. By continuously fighting, the player is able to stop Ultron and Sigma from using Infinity Stones to demolish all biological life. Players will be able to gain additional power for their team of fighters if they use one of the six Infinity Stones that come from Marvel. Each stone will have a different power to provide the fighters with.

An example of the additional powers would be the Time Stone. This stone allows the fighter to teleport and gives a speed boost. These additional powers can be helpful when it comes to the weaknesses of different fighters.

"Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite" is scheduled to be released on Sept. 17. It will be available to play on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
