Coulson (Clark Gregg) may have killed Ward (Brett Dalton), but the Inhuman who took over his body is still alive and will make its presence known in the upcoming episode of the hit ABC series "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

During the action-packed winter finale, the S.H.I.E.L.D. director ended up giving in to his inner demons when he ended Ward's life in Maveth. He could have spared the ex-agent from death, but Ward chose to finish him anyway. He could not ask himself to forgive the person who took Rosalind (Constance Zimmer) away from him. He used his robotic arm to push on Ward's chest until the latter's heart stopped beating. Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) witnessed the entire thing, and it is expected that when the series returns, he and Coulson will both be dealing with the backlash of what happened.

Meanwhile, the prognosis for what is in store for Earth does not look good, as the dangerous Inhuman who possessed Ward's body has arrived. Once it forms connections with the Hydra, viewers can expect to see a very dangerous and powerful foe to reckon with. Executive producer Jeff Bell hinted on the creature's ability with The Hollywood Reporter. He said that it was "very, very old" and that the Hydra has been trying to transport it to Earth for years. He also cautioned fans that the Inhuman was a potent force that S.H.I.E.L.D. should not take for granted.

"I think something with that kind of history potentially has a lot of power and baggage. And we haven't said it explicitly but Simmons had the feeling that that thing was responsible for decimating that other planet. We should be very, very afraid that that thing is back on this side," he said.

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 will return on March 8, 2016 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
