Actor Chadwick Boseman appeared in a new featurette trailer to talk about his character and his thoughts on the upcoming superhero film based on the Marvel Comics hero of the same name, "Black Panther."

Other notable figures from the Marvel Cinematic Universe also appeared on the featurette to talk about the movie including Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, director Ryan Coogler, and executive producer Stan Lee. After opening with clips from "Captain America: Civil War" where his character first debut, Boseman shows up in the trailer to briefly discuss about the movie being a spectacle and how it serves as character piece.

"You want the wow factor but it's not just stuff blowing up. It definitely is a character piece," Boseman said. "He has to look out for an entire nation. That's a responsibility that the other superheroes don't commonly have."

As mentioned in the trailer video which first debuted on Entertainment Weekly, the Black Panther character has been a part of Marvel Comics for over 50 years and was the first black superhero to have his very own comic book published. The persona first appeared in 1996 in an issue of the "Fantastic Four" comic books. After his solo series debut, the Black Panther became one of the most powerful Marvel heroes as the king of Wakanda.

According to MovieWeb, "Black Panther" is going to be an important movie for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Hollywood in general as not only is it going to be the first movie of the modern era to be led by a black superhero, but its cast will also be dominated by African-American actors.

"Black Panther" is set to hit the theaters on Feb. 16. Boseman's character will also appear in Marvel's summer 2018 release, "Avengers: Infinity War" in which the Black Panther and Wakanda are expected to play a big part.
