Netflix has begun to elevate the excitement for the sophomore season of "Marvel's Daredevil" by releasing more teasers showing what to expect when the superhero series returns to the live-streaming provider.

In season 2, Matt Murdock/The Daredevil (Charlie Cox) will have to face The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and Elektra (Elodie Yung). The two characters are expected to play very important roles in the series since they are both featured alongside "The Man Without Fear" on huge billboards spotted in Toronto (images available on Imgur).

Meanwhile, a new trailer for "Marvel's Daredevil" season 2 shows that Murdock and his best friend Franklin "Foggy" Nelson (Elden Henson) will have an argument in one of the episodes next season because Foggy is very worried about the possible dangers that might happen to his college buddy.

Showrunners Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez explained to TVGuide how Murdock's alter-ego will affect his relationship with Foggy.

"Foggy loves Matt," Petrie shared. "He's very protective of him, but he's scared of him, and he's got to protect himself ultimately... It's like having a friend who's in the program. Like, 'I'll be with you, but there's a point when your behavior is un-endorsable. And for the good of both our mental healths, I'm getting out of here.'"

Ramirez, on the other hand, explained that while it will be more pleasurable to see Murdock and Foggy have light and funny moments together, the writers of the show believe that it could not happen constantly because of Murdock's real persona.

"What we love about those two characters is ... how much they love each other, and constantly testing that friendship at every turn, and constantly getting them to a place where it almost feels like is this going to be it for these - for lack of a better term – brothers," the showrunner said.

"Marvel's Daredevil" season 2 will be available on Netflix beginning Friday, March 18.
