The first season of "Marvel's Inhumans" just ended recently, however, there is still no word yet on whether the superhero show will get a second run on primetime television.

According to Screen Rant, things do not look so good for the Marvel show because of poor reviews and low ratings. First of all, "Inhumans" received a low rating of eight percent from Rotten Tomatoes where critics lambasted it for its cheap-looking special effects and underdeveloped characters. It appeared obvious that producers scrimped on the budget for computer-generated (CG) effects, costumes, and set design. Medusa's (Serinda Swan) CG hair did not appear life-like and believable that the writers decided to have her hair cut short in order to save on money. The set designs appeared mediocre and rushed that they did not look like they were interiors of a palace on the moon.

The ratings for the superhero show have not been too kind either. When the first episode was aired, it garnered 3.7 million viewers on primetime television. People were still curious and eager to see what the show was about and if it would live up to their expectations as well as the Marvel brand. However, as time flew by, the show started to bleed viewers and there was no way to save the situation. The number of viewers fell to 1.9 million in a span of six weeks. People seemed to have realized that the show was not worth investing on after all.

Needless to say, it is likely that the show will not see a second run based on ratings and reviews. However, it still remains to be seen if the ABC network will eventually axe the show and replace it with something else next season.

As it is, there is no official announcement yet for a sophomore season of "Marvel's Inhumans." Stay tuned for more updates as the situation unfolds.
