While fans may have to wait a little bit longer for the release of "Mass Effect: Andromeda," the different teasers and supposed leaks showcase how the game is building up.

According to the developers, the game itself is not "Mass Effect 4." Rather, it is a fresh take on the franchise. With a new story, characters, and plot, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is said to be the biggest title in the series, with its own development team calling the game as it is: "We're stoked to see it released too. In scope, Mass Effect: Andromeda is our most ambitious Mass Effect title to date."

Meanwhile, PCGamer says that based on supposed leaks for the game, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is looking to be one of the most graphically detailed installments in the franchise. The supposed gameplay footage looks fluid, with the effects seemingly being part of the visuals themselves.

Not only are the visuals getting an upgrade, but the development team at BioWare is also fleshing out the characters for the story. According to teasers from the developers, "It's really awesome to see all the effort the team is putting into making our new protagonist feel fresh and unique."

Given that the release for "Mass Effect Andromeda" has reportedly been delayed, it goes to show that BioWare is making sure that the additional time for development will not go to waste. Previously, publisher Electronic Arts stated, "We have our Mirror's Edge runner game this first quarter, and then we have Mass Effect, which is a sci-fi action game, in our fourth quarter. So big year ahead and we're pretty excited."

The fourth quarter for the fiscal year is from January to March, leading to speculations that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will launch in the early months of 2017, instead of the expected holiday 2016 outing.
