Ever since it was announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June that there would be a sequel to "Mass Effect 3," fans have been scouring the Internet looking for information about the game.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda," the fourth installation in its series, is an upcoming action RPG game. It is quite aptly named since the game's setting will be in the Andromeda galaxy.

In June, BioWare, the company developing "Mass Effect: Andromeda," released its trailer on their official blog, along with a little information about the third-person shooting game.

The post read: "While we aren't ready to go into too many details just yet, as you saw in the trailer and can tell by the name, this game is very much a new adventure, taking place far away from and long after the events of the original trilogy. You will play a human, male or female, though that's actually not the character you saw in the trailer (more on that later). You'll be exploring an all-new galaxy, Andromeda, and piloting the new and improved Mako you saw. And through it all, you will have a new team of adventurers to work with, learn from, fight alongside of, and fall in love with."

BioWare is currently developing the game using DICE's Frostbite engine. The Canadian video game developer was also behind "Mass Effect 3: Omega DLC."

But since then, numerous leaks and rumors have been circulating online.

According to Overmental, the map for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will reportedly be four times larger than that of its predecessor's. The game is said to take place in the Helius Cluster, which is located within the Andromeda galaxy.

New characters will also be introduced, along with customizable outfits for each character.

Reports claim that a multiplayer mode (called Horde Mode) will also be featured in the game. The feature will allow groups of four to team up and fight enemies together in battle. The mode will also let users gain XP and earn APEX funds (the game's currency).

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is scheduled to come out in December 2016.
