'Mass Effect Andromeda' updates: Bioware says title is already 'stunning'
Up until now, there had been only little official information known about "Mass Effect Andromeda" but developers at Bioware know how to keep the hype up despite the drought.
Although the folks at the Edmonton-based game studio are hard at work in putting together the fourth "Mass Effect" title, they make sure that they keep fans up to speed regarding the development via social media.
In an excitement-inducing tweet, Bioware Design and Art head Alistair McNally attempted to make fans drool by saying that "Mass Effect Andromeda" is looking "stunning."

While not much can be taken away from that, apart from the assurance that the game will be worth the wait, the tweet also confirms that "Mass Effect Andromeda" is indeed in a playable state. McNally's statement also indicates that development is going smooth and that they are making their projected progress, despite letting go of several staff heads in the past months.
Unfortunately, there's no on-hand information more specific than that. But the morsels of details Bioware developers drop here and there are enough to assure fans that "Mass Effect Andromeda" is on the right track.
"Mass Effect Andromeda" follows a new voyager only known as the Pathfinder, who is shrouded in mystery at the moment. Even the face of this new protagonist is still kept under wraps. The title is expected to bring players in new and uncharted space territories where they will meet new alien breeds, both good and bad. The Mako was made more powerful and functional in the game as well.
"Mass Effect Andromeda" was originally slated for a December 2016 release, but the launch was moved to the first quarter of 2017, which means that the title will be out between January to March next year. As for McNally's "I wore a plain t-shirt" remark on his tweet, the artist is alluding to his revelatory attire during the recently concluded Game Developers Conference, where the name of their new IP was plastered.

Unfortunately, he was able to walk around the event without anyone realizing how big a deal the shirt he had on was.
