'Mass Effect Andromeda' updates: Developer plays 'first hour' of game, says it will make players 'hyperventilate'

Bioware likes to keeps things on a lid when it comes to its much-awaited action role-playing third-person shooter "Mass Effect: Andromeda," which is why the fourth iteration of the game remains mainly a big mystery.

Folks at the game studio are not fond of revealing concrete details about the game but they at least work hard to keep fans up to speed. One of the developers Cameron Lee has already played a bit of the game.

"Just finished playing the first hour of Mass Effect: Andromeda," Lee tweeted. When asked by a fan about how the experience was, he replied that it "was fun and I got to shoot things in the face."

Lee also promised that Bioware is doing everything to make the highly-anticipated title to be great. In fact, he is confident that he and his team are going to make "some people hyperventilate" when they get their hands on "Mass Effect: Andromeda."

It looks like Bioware is making great progress in the development of the game. Not too long ago, Chris Wynn, the senior development director for the game, left the installment and Bioware altogether. This had fans worrying about the game's development.

While Wynn left a big hole in the game studio upon leaving, Bioware assured in a statement it released addressing Wynn's unexpected exit that work remains steady for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" remains steady.

"Development of Mass Effect: Andromeda continues to move full speed ahead at Bioware Montreal, Edmonton and Austin," the company said, as quoted by Gaming Bolt. And with a portion of the installment already playable, it seems that they really are on the right track.

Not much is known about the plot for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" except that players will no longer explore the galaxy through Captain Shepard's eyes. Instead, players will be pathfinders navigating through a bigger galaxy with a more functional Mako at their disposal.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" will be out December 2016.
