Showtime will bring back one of the most beloved cast members of "The Walking Dead." The network recently announced that Emily Kinney landed a recurring role in the third season of "Masters of Sex."

The Entertainment Weekly reported that Kinney will be featured in a multi-episode arc as the character named Nora, a former child neighbor of William (Michael Sheen) and Libby (Caitlin Fitzgerald) Masters. William will encounter Nora again, but she is now a poised and intelligent young woman in her 20s. Allegedly, Nora will volunteer as a sex surrogate for the next phase of Dr. Masters' research about human sexuality along with Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan).

Kinney also appeared in other TV series like "The Flash" as the Bug-Eyed Bandit and Daisy Ryan in "The Knick." Her character Beth Greene last appeared in AMC's "The Walking Dead" in what fans consider as one of the most heartbreaking deaths in the series during season 5's midseason finale.

Aside from Nora, "Masters of Sex" will also introduce three other new characters in season 3, namely Josh Charles' character Daniel Logan, the character named Jo portrayed by Julie Ann Emery, as well as the guy named Graham to be portrayed by Tate Donovan.

Lead stars Sheen and Caplan talked about the upcoming season of their critically acclaimed show in an interview with The Star. According to the actors, their characters will continue to struggle with their personal conflicts despite the ongoing success of their study.

Sheen said that Dr. Masters will have to face his fear of being a monstrous father to his children after he experienced terrible things with his dad in the past.

"He has an image in his head of what his father did: just punching him in the face out of nowhere and not being able to do anything about it," the actor said. "Early this season, that exact moment arrives with him and he faces his greatest fear. So hopefully that changes him and everyone around him."

Meanwhile, Caplan shared that Virginia will have to face the arrangement that she agreed upon with her children's father George (Mather Zickel) back in season 2, when she agreed to give him custody of the kids.

"Masters of Sex" season 3 premieres on Sunday, July 12.
