Lindsay Lohan is back in town, and she recently revealed that she wants what everybody is asking for: a sequel to the hit 2004 film "Mean Girls."

Although a sequel was released in 2011, "The Parent Trap" actress said in an interview with E! News that she wanted a "Mean Girls 2" with the original cast in it. "I'd love to do it again. We had so much fun making it. Mark Waters is such a great director, Tina Fey is an amazing writer, Paramount was great to work with — we all had a blast," Lohan said.

In the teen comedy film, Lohan played Cady Heron, a transferee from Africa who was homeschooled until she entered the public school. There, she met Rachel McAdams' character, Regina George, who acted as the leader of the group called the Plastics. The group also included Gretchen Wieners (Lacey Chabert) and Karen Smith (Amanda Seyfried).

"Mean Girls" was well received, earning $130 million at the box-office. Aside from this, the movie had been an inspiration to various projects, including a makeup line that packaged the products in the form of the Burn Book, or the notebook where the Plastics write their sentiments towards other people.

Years ago, Paramount had been tapping "Date Night" actress Tina Fey to work on the sequel of the film. "Paramount was very generous and solicitous with me for several years, saying, 'Would you like to do it?' "And at the time, I was like, 'They should just let it be what it is!'" she revealed in 2010. However, when the sequel was in the works without her efforts, the comedienne admitted that she somehow had regretted not being able to take part in the film.

Although many fans of the original film will find the news of a sequel with the original cast quite exciting, there have been no official announcements following Lohan's interview.
