A Philadelphia court clerk last week made headlines after slipping a note to rapper Meek Mill during his probation hearing. The court employee is now reported to have been fired for asking the rapper for money for his son's education expenses.

Last week, court clerk Wanda Chavarria stirred quite the attention after TMZ got the note she wrote for Mill. Chavarria asked Mill for money to help with her son's tuition fee at the Virginia Commonwealth University. "I hope that you don't take offense to this letter or my request but I had to take this opportunity for my son. As a fan of the Arts (dancing/singing/theater), I'm praying that you would be able to help my son," Chavarria wrote. She then left her contact number and email address. According to the note, Chavarria has a bad credit score and could not apply for a loan.

TMZ with another report said Chavarria got the boot for crossing the line. Officials from the court told TMZ that Chavarria was in the wrong for asking for money from the rapper without Judge Genece Brinkley's knowledge. Brinkley is the judge who just handed a two to four years of prison time to Mill for violating his probation. Mill has not released any comment on the latest developments involving Chavarria.

Mill family and friends from the music, sports, and entertainment industries are pushing for the FreeMeekMill campaign. Mill recently teamed up with activist and National Football League (NFL) quarterback Colin Kaepernick for the latter's MillionDollarPledge to help "oppressed communities."

Kaepernick took it to Twitter to show his appreciation for Mill's $10,000 pledge. "Despite my brother @meekmill's current circumstances, he continues to stay connected in the community of Philly. He pledged to go #10for10 on my #MillionDollarPledge. We're both donating $10k for a combined $20k to Youth Service Inc. Keep staying strong Meek, we love you brother," he tweeted.
