Clarence House finally confirmed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's engagement. The two are now officially engaged and are getting married in spring 2018. Among the many questions, the biggest one would be what would the 36-year-old star's official title be when she is already wedded to the 33-year-old royal?

As per the British peerage's rules, the "Suits" star cannot be called a princess just because she got married to a prince. The privilege of being called a princess is just for the women who are naturally born in the royal family.

However, Markle will be titled as Her Royal Highness Princess Henry of Wales as Harry is the Prince Henry of Wales. Also, it will depend on Queen Elizabeth II if she is going to bless the couple with the royal dukedom and will be called the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their wedding day.

Clarence House, Prince Charles and Camilla's official residence, announced Markle and Prince Harry's engagement on Monday, Nov. 27, on its Twitter account. The pair got engaged in London earlier this month, and the prince has told his close family members and Her Majesty herself about it.

Of course, Prince Harry also received the blessing of Markle's parents. The couple are said to be living in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace. Although the exact details about the wedding day are not yet revealed, further information will be announced in "due course."

Meanwhile, Markle and Prince Harry made their first appearance after the engagement's announcement in an open-air photocall at the Sunken Garden in Kensington Palace. The youngest son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana told the press that he is "thrilled" to get married to his fiancee.

He also said that he knew that Markle was the one for him from the first time they met. The actress, on the other hand, proudly showed her diamond engagement ring, which is personally designed by the prince himself.
