Meizu M2 Note rumors: complete specifications leaked

Meizu, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is in the process of officially releasing two Android handsets in the near future. Those handsets will be M2 Note and the company's flagship offering, MX 5. M2 will serve as the direct successor to M1 Note, which in other words means that the phablet sized smartphone will be loaded with much better hardware specifications compared to its predecessor.

According to GSMArena, M2 Note has had its specifications leaked before Meizu could officially announce it to the public.

The website states that the smartphone features a 5.6 inch screen size, as opposed to the 5.5 inch one present on M1 Note. Both smartphones will be rendering the exact same resolution. However, another source by the name of Techgadgetsz states that the upcoming handset will have a 4.6 inch screen size. Since the smartphone is categorized under the 'Note' series, it means that it will belong to devices sporting a screen size that goes above the 5 inch mark, which ultimately debunks the leak from the source.

Moving on, the 'system on a chip' will be MediaTek's MT6753, which is a better performer compared to the company's MT6752 (MT6752 is capable of beating Snapdragon 801, which is present in OnePlus One, Galaxy S6 and One M8). The mobile chipset present in M2 Note will be running 8 cores of Cortex-A53, coupled with 2 GB of RAM and a Mali-T720 GPU, which is a surprising addition, seeing as how M1 Note features a Mali-T760 graphics processor.

However, the prowess of the SoC will allow future M2 Note owners to effortlessly capture 4K videos at a steady 30 frames per second using the rear camera sensor, which features a 12 MP image capturing resolution. Complementing the primary camera will be a 5 MP front sensor. Meizu has not mentioned if M2 Note will feature a MicroSD card slot, but since its predecessor was void of one, it would be fitting if the company included this flexible storage expansion option.

Other specifications include an LTE modem, and an Android 5.1 platform. The device is expected to be made official on June 2, 2015, and it is expected that the price tag will be more or less the same as M1 Note.
