Members of the PlayStation Plus subscription service are in for a treat this October, as they will have access to this month's free games, which include two great titles for PlayStation 4, "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" and "Amnesia: Collection."

"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" is a critically acclaimed action adventure stealth video game released in 2015. It takes off nine years after the events of the standalone prologue, "Ground Zeroes" released the previous year.

The game is also the last game that longtime "Metal Gear Solid" game designer Hideo Kojima worked on with developer Konami. Kojima has resigned from the company and established an independent Kojima Productions studio.

Players will also be getting the horror title "Amnesia: Collection, " which is actually a bundle consisting of three titles in the horror franchise. It includes "Amnesia: The Dark Descent," its expansion "Amnesia: Justine," and the sequel "Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs."

"Amnesia: The Dark Descent" was originally released in 2010 and featured a creepy gameplay that tasked players to explore a dark castle while keeping the character's sanity intact.

The frightening atmosphere gets cranked up a notch in the 2011 expansion "Amnesia: Justine," where players take control of a female character who is the subject of a psychological test.

"Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs" was originally released in 2013, and features a complicated, multi-layered narrative of varying timelines. While this sequel is set in the same universe as "The Dark Descent," it features a new set of characters and locations.

PlayStation Plus will also be giving its subscribers access to the PlayStation 3 game "Monster Jam Battlegrounds" which will surely take players for a spin on its monster trucks' roaring engines.

The pool game "Hustle Kings" will also be available for free, along with PlayStation Vita games "Hue" and "Sky Force Anniversary."

All the games will be available from Oct. 5 until Nov. 2.
