Questions in the minds of parched gamers twiddling their thumbs for "Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain" should be answered really soon now that Kojima Productions is not too far away from finishing off the production of the open world action-adventure stealth video game.

"I know you've all been eagerly awaiting for word on releasing timing," a representative from Kojima Productions announced during the Kojima Station webcast (as translated by Gematsu). "I think we should be able to announce that soon, so look forward to that. It's only a little longer."

The release date, although missing for now, will be determined soon. "New information" is also likely to be spilled during a special event in the Taipei Game Show, which will take place on Jan. 31.

While a specific date is still shrouded in mystery, there are already rumors that the installment will grace the game realm by mid-February, VG 247 broached. Besides, "Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain" is now approaching bug testing phase as the developers fine tune the brand new trimmings coming to the highly-anticipated title, which means that there is nothing much left to do for game creator Hideo Kojima and his team than launch the title.

According to Expert Reviews, players of "Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain" will be treated to a richly massive milieu made of numerous environments, which they can explore corner to corner at their own pace. The game will throw in times of days and weather conditions subject to major shifting, and gamers will have to adapt to all of those.

Also, strategizing is big in the game as a player's decisions and previous actions will determine how many soldiers they will have to tackle. This brings in another changing aspect in the game, which is the strength and power of the opponents. One time they only wear helmets and shower players with gunfire, the next they come with a whole brigade complete with tanks and high-caliber weapons to pursue players.

"Metal Gear Solid" The Phantom Pain" is set to be released on the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
