'Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes': Modder creates first-person mod

Another popular game now has a first-person mode after "Grand Theft Auto V." This time, it's Kojima's action-adventure stealth video game, "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes."

According to a report posted on Eurogamer, a modder named Pao managed to fiddle with the PC version of the third person stealth game to come up with a first person shooter version without using official mod tools.

The modder posted the altered video game on NexusMods, and lets other players download it for free.

However, there are several bugs noticed in the tinkered game, including vanishing items when a character comes near it, the sudden transformation of Snake's body to semi-visible mode when he is crawling, as well as several issues with the pistol animations.

One of the first players who downloaded the modded version of "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes" is YouTube account holder BenBlatcher, who posted his reviews about it on his account.

According to the YouTuber, "Not being able to see what's round corners makes things much more tense, and you've gotta be really careful and try and get a good view on things beforehand. You've got to rely on your senses a lot more, and it's obvious I wasn't [For example not hearing a truck coming at one point.]"

The reviewer also commented that it is hard to move around if the player cannot see items if they are located too close. Nonetheless, the gamer seemed to be okay with the modified version of the game.

"As with the third-person camera, things disappear when you get too close. Of course it makes picking up items a little awkward, but altogether it's nowhere near enough to turn me off of the mod. Oh and certain weapons look funny," BenBlatcher said.

"Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes" is published by Konami for various game consoles, including PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, as well as PC through Steam.
