This could be the Chargers final game at the Qualcomm Stadium, but they are on the verge of matching their franchise record for the longest home losing streak today.

San Diego come into today's game on 3-10 and will be hoping that a move to Los Angeles next season can bring them new and better fortunes.

The NFL is set to take a vote next month on relocating two teams, with the Chargers and the Oakland Raiders both favorites to be considered. Both teams have among the oldest stadiums in the league and have no plans for upgrades or replacements, so moves for both make a lot of sense for the franchises.

However, the move would not be a happy one for San Diego fans and safety Eric Weddle has acknowledged that: "It's tough on the city, the fans. For us as players, we don't have a clue what is really going on. It's unfortunate. It's a great city, great fans."

Quarterback Philip Rivers said. "It could be emotional. I think I'll soak in the drive over there probably a little more than the past 100-something times I've done it for a game. The good outweigh the bad in that stadium over the last 12 years."

Earlier in the week, the Dallas Cowboys were finally put out of their misery and confirmed as eliminated as postseason contenders. On Saturday night the Cowboys hosted the New York Jets, and although the game went right down to the wire, Dallas were yet again on the wrong side of a tight result to leave them lagging on 4-10 and out of the Playoff picture.

The Jets moved to 9-5 after Randy Bullock kicked a 40 yard field goal with just 36 seconds remaining to hand New York a 19-16 win on the night. The field goal was set up via a Ryan Fitzpatrick 43 yard pass to Kenbrell Thompkins as the quarterback continues to establish himself.

The win for the Jets puts them half a game ahead of both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Kansas City Chiefs who remain on 8-5 coming into Sunday's games. The race for the two Wild Card sports in the AFC will likely go down to a contest between these three teams, and the Jets need to make sure they win out to give themselves the best chance of making the postseason.

The New York Jets appear to be hitting their best form at the right time, as they have now gained their fourth straight win in a row - the first time the franchise has done that since back in 2010.
