Miami Heat suffered a great loss when Dwayne Wade left the team. However, it is now rumored that they are now eyeing up on L.A. Clippers' power forward, Blake Griffin. He has been in the NBA trade rumors for quite a time already, were other teams are also keeping tab on him.

Inquisitr reported that Griffin is said to be in the eyes of Pat Riley, Miami Heat's president, for next year's free agency. The team was once one of the strongest team in the NBA league, when it had LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. It was Riley who was responsible for convincing James to leave Clevland Cavaliers, his hometown team, back then. Many believed that if the rumors prove to be true, the former head coach would be able to entice Griffin as well.

Several teams were also interested with the talented power forward. Rumored teams that showed interest on Griffin were Chicago Bulls, San Antonio Spurs, Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Miami Heat may not have an easy way to catch Griffin unless he enters free agency next year, but with Riley's charisma and an attractive package, it could happen.

However, Clipper head coach, Doc Rivers already said that they are not letting go of Griffin, and the basketball superstar will stay with the team until he does not want to play basketball, Parent Herald. As per Basketball Real GM, mentioned before that Coach Rivers is also confident that even if Griffin and Chris Paul joins free agency next year, they will still be playing for their current team for the next season.

Meanwhile, Bosh is currently facing some health issues, the recurrence of his blood clots.
