Last Wednesday, Miami Heat fans had their first look at the team that will be playing in the regular season.

While Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Chris "Birdman" Andersen are among those who will be returning (although Andersen did not play due to a sore calf), new players on the court have been sparking up the latest discussions on Heat's potential performance and competitiveness. These include new players Josh McRoberts and Tyler Johnson.

As training camp for Miami Heat has already kicked off, there have been more than a few speculations about the team's current leader and the available opportunities for team members.

Bosh, for instance, is being rumored to consider himself as Heat's leader this season after landing a new contract. The center/power forward player has commented on the challenges that the team expects to encounter, hence the need to take on a suitable approach to leadership.

"Right now it's easy. Everybody is supposed to win a championship, everybody wants to win a championship right now, everybody is undefeated, but when those back-to-backs come and those long road trips come, it's going to be a big-time challenge," Bosh said, as reported by the Miami Herald.

He also added, "And especially those nights when you're going to have to put the extra effort for the team and to lead them in a certain way that I wasn't doing before. It's going to be hard."

Personal skills coach Miles Simon and trainer Ed Downs are also making the necessary preparations for Bosh to take on his new responsibilities as team leader and the offense's focal point.

"I'm excited," Bosh stated, as reported by Bleacher Report. "I really want to do it for the city of Miami—to show my evolution and my growth, and display a different level of my talent."

Meanwhile, after missing out on the action of 28 games last season, Wade has been focusing on working on being able to be "available" for his teammates as well as attaining success not only for himself but, more importantly, for the entire Miami Heat.
