The Miami Heat are back on the prowl once again for talent after all-star Chris Bosh has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to blood clots found in his lungs.

Just when things seemed to have been looking up when the Heat acquired Goran Dragic from the Phoenix Suns before the NBA trade deadline, the team suffered another blow this season with the sidelining of Bosh.

So what does Pat Riley have up his sleeves this time? The trade deadline has passed meaning he may no longer get from other teams. Hence the only viable option would be to look into free agency for available talent.

Doing so has turned up one name, a familiar one at that – Michael Beasley.

A tweet by Ira Winderman mentioned that Beasley is currently working out at the AmericanAirlines Arena.

However, that info is not to be made conclusive as far as Beasley returning to the team but why else would Beasley be there?

Beasley, who ironically plays the same position of Bosh, was the second overall pick back in 2008. However his NBA career has not necessarily been a fruitful one. He has had his share of drug, assault and off-court legal issues which have added a negative light to his basketball career.

Beasley was released prior to the season by the Memphis Grizzlies and ended up playing in the Chinese Basketball Association with the Shanghai Sharks. So in a way and distractions aside, Beasley could be somehow fit and potentially be recalled by the Heat to fill in the void left by Bosh.

If not for Beasley, another option could be Andray Blatche who also last played in the CBA for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers. Both Blatche and Beasley are now free agents after their respective teams were eliminated from the CBA playoffs.

As of this writing, the Heat are said to be talking to both players. Who could be signed up? Beasley? Blatche? Both?
