After having to deal with a huge blow with the exit of Dwyane Wade, the Miami Heat are doing intense rebuilding and it looks like Chris Paul could be their key to reviving the team.

The latest Miami Heat trade rumors are suggesting that the Los Angeles Clippers superstar is one of the team's targets, who, when acquired, should catapult the team to a contender level once again.

The Heat is surely feeling the repercussions of not being able to keep Wade, but the team is doing its best to make up for this huge loss and is determined to bring Paul to the club.

As per Miami Heat trade rumors, the team is putting Goran Dragic to the trading block to acquire Paul. The team might succeed in doing so.

According to reports, the Clippers are keener in keeping Blake Griffin than having Paul around, which is why there is a possibility for the Paul's current franchise to bite into Heat's bait.

Of course, Paul's impressive talents will not go unnoticed by other teams. It is also being said that the New York Knicks are also looking to sign the star.

However, it looks like Paul is yet to develop a desire to leave Los Angeles with Clippers coach Doc Rivers assuring to the folks of The Vertical podcast that Paul and even Griffin are staying where they are.

"I think we're in a good place. I know both of them [Griffin and Paul] have said they want to play here. They want to play for us forever," Rivers said.

It looks like Paul won't be headed out of L.A. anytime soon. The Heat may have to continue their search as another one of their targets Russell Westbrook has agreed to an extension deal with his current team, the Oklahoma City Thunder.
