The latest rumors say that the Miami Heat no longer have last-minute trades for this off-season. With this, the veteran forward Josh McRoberts could possibly be relieved that he will stay and play for at least one more season with the Heat.

In a report by Ecumenical News, the team was rumored to have tried trading off McRoberts to try pursuing some star players for their team. However, that effort proved to be futile, since they took some hits from losing their own trump card Dwayne Wade, who decided to join the Chicago Bulls. As for any consolation, their center Hassan Whiteside stayed for the team.

Regardless of the team's fallout, McRoberts was still available, but it seems that no one wanted to take him in. With this, it might be the possible reason for the Heat to just keep him on the team. The team even said that McRoberts will be in the team this season, saying that he should go for his offseason training to ensure that he will be up to speed.

As fans can remember, Miami Heat was able to get McRoberts back in 2014 from the then-Charlotte Bobcats due to his spectacular performance. However, ever since he arrived, he was plagued with a lot of injuries, which certainly limits his play time, which only amounts to 59 regular season games in the two seasons he was in with the Heat. Even much sadder is the fact that he failed to impress in those games, which could be the reason why the team tried trading him off in the first place.

However, the Miami Herald reports that it is possible for Blake Griffin to go over to the Heat next year, despite the fact that he is reported to fully re-sign with the Clippers once he becomes a free agent next summer. Things can change, according to article, and if the Heat needs to have a good chance for the championship next year, they will go for him.
