Miami Heat trade rumors: Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole on the block

The Miami Heat could be looking to shore up its frontline with potential big men that they can get their hands on. There are lists of probable a big man that they could get their hands on before the NBA trade deadline and that includes the likes of Taj Gibson, Carlos Boozer or even Reggie Jackson.

Brook Lopez, a popular name being mentioned in trade talks is also on the Heat radar but all that could depend if the Heat have the assets to transact with the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets have apparently seen the value of Lopez and have initially withdrawn him from the trading block.

In return, the only players that the Heat would be willing to dangle are Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole.

Cole has not been getting enough minutes with the Heat and it may seem likely that Cole could be well off with other ballclubs in need of some support in the guard position. Teams that could put Cole back to good use include Cleveland, Detroit and Houston.

Chalmers on the other hand has been far from being impressive so he may just be included to consummate a deal upfront for the Heat.

The Heat have yet to get over the Lebron James era, toting a 21-29 card as of this writing. Injuries to Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh have also hampered them from gaining any ground and a prime position that the Heat should cover would be upfront.

Luol Deng is also someone that Heat could move. However, Pat Riley did stress that all that can only happen for the right price (and presumably the right assets).

Another player that the Heat have their eyes on is Arron Afflalo of the Denver Nuggets. But for that to happen, the only thing that could move Afflalo is a first round pick which the Heat do not own.

The Heat's 2015 first round pick is owed to Philadelphia (via Minnesota) so that wish could be far from materializing.
