Despite his long-time medical recluse, dedicated fans of legendary Formula One driver Michael Schumacher took to Twitter yesterday to greet their hero a happy birthday. Schumacher turned 49 this year.

As of this writing, Schumacher's present condition is still kept under wraps by his family. The F1 driver met a tragic skiing accident back in 2013, resulting in a really serious head injury.

Twitter user @Drierith tweeted: "A happy birthday to #MichaelSchumacher #KeepFighting comeback with us. It would be nice to see you again on @fia #Formula1 circuit. I miss you."

Another user named @mgilbert1984 said: "Happy 49th birthday to the legend that is @schumacher we still believe in #win92 #KeepFightingMichael."

The German driver became one of the most respected and legendary Formula One drivers for winning seven World Championships, 91 races and earned 151 podium finishes. His career started in 1991 up to 2012.

The last update the press got from Schumacher's condition is when German magazine Bunte got sued by his family last year when a false article was written claiming Schumacher can already stand on his own. According to his family's lawyers, Bunte Magazine clearly fabricated the article, as Michael can barely stand on his own without the help of his therapists.

One thing's for sure, Schumacher is nowhere near on being perfectly healed, as various reports claim that his wife, Corinna Schumacher, has been forced to sell some of their properties to sustain his husband's expensive medical treatment.

According to various reports, Corinna has sold their holiday home in the Norwegian Mountain as well as her husband's jet to help pay the bills. Apparently, the Formula Legend's family spends about $168,000 a week just to sustain his slow rehabilitation.

Still, all of the aforementioned claims are yet to be verified by Michael's family, as they are adamant about keeping the F1 driver's health status a top secret.

Michael Schumacher is touted as the most successful Formula One driver in the history of the sport. Although it's highly unlikely that the F1 legend will return to the tracks, many of his fans are still rooting for him.
