F1 racing legend Michael Schumacher's near-fatal skiing accident will hit its second anniversary on Dec. 29, and as pointed out by AutoWeek very little update has been given to the public regarding his health. The latest news comes from former Mercedes-Benz Team Principal Ross Brawn, who confirms he has been visiting the F1 legend.

Speaking to the Express, Brawn explained that he and Schumacher's family have been balancing physical visits and phone call updates given that the latter is less bothersome and strainful for the family. He also explained that Schumacher's wife Corinna occasionally called Brawn to give him updates on her husband's health recovery.

"We just keep praying every day that he'll recover to a stage where... it's slow, but there's always hope," Brawn explained to the Express.

The report explains that Schumacher, after waking up from the medically induced coma, he has remained paralyzed, although there are no concrete confirmations regarding this. 

Unfortunately, Brawn did not reveal just how far Schumacher's recovery progress has gone over the past few months. As stated in a report from the Telegraph, Schumacher's recovery has been kept private with little information shared to the general public, particularly after a journalist attempted to get more information by disguising himself as a priest.

The report also states that fellow racer Philippe Streiff claimed that at this point Schumacher is capable of recognizing his family, although he has yet to recover the capability of speaking. This was denied by Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm, who said Streiff's comments were "factually wrong."

According to the update from AutoWeek, Schumacher's recover currently costs roughly $150,000 per week and the F1 racer has lost up to 65 pounds thus far. He is currently recovering at the family home near Lake Geneva, Switzerland after spending time in a nearby medical center for three months.

Michael Schumacher is popularly known for being the F1 racer with the most number of wins for a driver and has acquired seven world titles throughout his career.
