Former First Lady Michelle Obama is having the time of her life with her husband and former United States president, Barack, at an exclusive luxury resort in French Polynesia.

According to The Huffington Post, Barack has been "holed" up since last month at The Brando, a luxury resort on a private island owned by actor Marlon Brando. He is said to be working on his and Michelle's White House memoir, a book deal worth $60 million signed in February. Last Saturday, Michelle flew into the island to join her husband.

As reported on TNTV, a French Polynesian news station, the couple were spotted swimming and paddleboarding in the turquoise waters of Mo'orea island. According to the report, they were very relaxed and even allowed some people to take selfies with them.

The Obamas have been spending vacations all over the world after their last day in the White House. They previously spent time at a Palm Springs mansion perched above the Coachella Valley. Then, the 44-year-old former president was spotted kitesurfing on entrepreneur Richard Branson's private island in the Virgin Islands.

However, Harpers Bazaar reported that the Obamas will be taking a break from vacationing soon as they are expected to fly back to the U.S. sometime this month. This is reportedly due to the scheduled appearance of Michelle at an architecture conference in Florida by the end of April.

In other news, the former First Lady is said to have written a letter of recommendation for "Blackish" star and social activist Yara Shahidi's college application, according to US Magazine. The young actress plans to double major in African American studies and sociology. The two first met in 2016, when they appeared together on stage at Glamour magazine's International Day of the Girl event in Washington, D.C.
