Pre-orders for the recently unveiled Microsoft Lumia 435 are now up in the U.K. Amazon has listed the spanking mid-range device (unlocked and SIM-free) in three color options — black, green and orange — with an irresistible £88.49 ($90.35) price tag. The retailer giant will ship the orders by March 1. Interested buyers can head over here to place an order.

Microsoft aims to fully release the device in more regions in Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East this month. The tech giant introduced the Lumia 435 a couple of weeks ago as the cheapest in the Lumia lineup, aiming to net first-time smartphone buyers and those who cannot afford high-priced flagships.

Although its package is not as high-end as the ones out in the showground, the Lumia 435 offers more reasons to be called an excellent handset choice other than its pocket-friendly price tag. It comes with a 4-inch LCD display, which renders a decent 480 x 800 pixel resolution and a 233 ppi pixel density. It is powered up by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz along with 1 GB of RAM. It has an 8 GB storage capacity, which can be expanded up to 128 GB with a micro SD card. It houses a VGA camera (0.3-megapixel) and a rear-facing shooter set at 2 megapixels. With a 1560 mAh battery chipped in, the Lumia 435 can accommodate half a day of talk time. The device has Windows 8.1 installed, but it will reportedly be one of the first devices to run Windows 10 once the new OS is ready for a rollout, along with the Lumia 730, Lumia 930 and Lumia 1520.

Microsoft is on its way to building more affordable devices rather than high-end ones, at least for now. The Lumia 435 is one and the Redmond-based company believes that it will be a success. On its third week afloat the tech world, it has already gathered a considerable amount of attention from consumers, according to Mobile N' Apps.
