Microsoft finally acted on the complaints concerning the touchscreen display issues of the recently-released Microsoft Lumia 535 smartphone by rolling out an update fix. The update rolled out over the weekend, and it was announced by a Microsoft employee called Armagon.

The Microsoft insider made the announcement in the Nokia Discussion board, saying. "Hey, we have started rolling out a new software update for Lumia 535 (RM-1089) in selected countries."

Based on the recently released post from Nokia, Microsoft finally came up with a software update for the first Microsoft-released Lumia device, which particularly focuses on the bugs in the touchscreen as well as other minor issues. The said updates are applicable for both the Lumia 535 dual SIM and the single SIM variety.

The device was initially laden with major touchscreen bugs such as the inconsistent tracked user input. It also posed difficulty in activating the menu buttons, and it had a hyper sensitive Swype-style keyboard when it was launched. The first remedy that was given for these bugs was to turn off the Screen Magnifier feature of the device, which can be found under the Settings > Ease of Access option. Yet this did not fix the problem entirely.

Some of the inclusions of the latest update are the improved touchscreen performance, the availability of Microsoft's digital assistant Cortana in more markets, the ease of turning the device's mobile data connection on and off, the improvements in the performance and stability of the phone, as well as easier installation of updates by putting them in the user's preferred schedule.

Microsoft Lumia 535 users can receive the updates if their units are equipped with Windows Phone version 8.10.14219.341 and build 02054.00000.14485.370xx. The said updates have been rolled out over-the-air in Europe, South Africa, as well as in the Asia Pacific region.

The smartphone is the first Lumia product that was released by Microsoft after the company brought Nokia's mobile device manufacturing arm.
