Microsoft reportedly has a treat in store for fans who are waiting to see the mobile version of the company's newest platform in action. Apparently, the new Lumias running on Windows 10 Mobile will be out before the month ends.

According to industry insider Windows Central, sources close to giant mobile carrier AT&T have disclosed that Nov. 20 might be the date that subscribers will see the carrier-release version of the Lumia 950 in the United States. The post also reiterated that AT&T has a habit of releasing on Fridays. For this month, Friday the 13th is too soon – aside from other connotations of the date – while Nov. 27 is Black Friday, which will have fans concentrate more on getting their deals lists ticked off.

Apparently, the Lumia 950 for AT&T is supposed to launch earlier than the projected launch date. However, there was an issue with the Windows Hello function of the new OS.

Meanwhile, The Verge, noted that aside from AT&T offering the carrier version of the Lumia 950 on Nov. 20, sources indicated that the Redmond-based tech giant is also planning on releasing an unlocked version of the Lumia 950 XL on the same date in the different Microsoft Stores across the U.S.

As for the Windows 10 Mobile version that these two flagships will carry, NDTV reported that apparently, Microsoft opted for build 10586, which is still in beta phase. It is unclear if Microsoft plans to wrap up the build itself and make it an official public version prior to the launch on Nov. 20, or if the company will release it as it is and will just make an official update rollout in the future, much like how Apple rolls out public beta releases for its iOS.
