With the Microsoft Surface Book 2 still being kept under wraps, a lot of rumors are stating that the 2-in-1 device could possibly be revealed next month along with other awaited Microsoft devices such as the Surface Pro 5 as well as the Surface Phone.

According to Game N Guide, the new Surface Book 2 was allegedly delayed due to the fact that it is waiting for the release of the new Windows 10 update. Furthermore, the new device is expected to feature at least a 4k display along with the newest unreleased Intel chip that is slated to be available on the market by the end of 2016. The Kaby Lake processor has a faster clock speed and more powerful abilities compared to the Skylake processor present in the previous Surface Book.

However, despite the improved capabilities, it is expected that the Microsoft Surface Book 2 will have decreased power consumption due to its processor. In addition to this, it is expected that the new Surface Book 2 will have a 3D display as well as an improved USB 3.1 port that will enable faster connections for the new hybrid device.

Furthermore, according to Vine Report, some rumors about the laptop-tablet hybrid point out that the device will come with a 13.5-inch screen and will have two variants in terms of processors: the Intel Core i5 and the Core i7. The former will have a lower price compared to the latter, as expected.

Also, since the new Microsoft Surface Book 2 will be marketed as a laptop rather than a tablet, it is expected to come with at least 8 GB worth of RAM for its base product and a much powerful 16 GB counterpart. As for its storage capacity, it will have a 1 TB hard drive.

However, at this point, it is not yet confirmed so fans should just wait for further announcements.
