Users got their first look of the Microsoft Surface Phone in the form of a leaked image, which revealed some of the specs of the flagship.

The image shows the Microsoft Surface Phone with a keyboard stand, which also acts as a flip cover for the device. It is reminiscent of the one on Microsoft's Surface Pro tablets.

The leak also reveals that the device will come with a USB-C port as well as a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The body of the Microsoft Surface Phone in the photo appears to be metal.

The leak came from a tipster who goes by the name Nokibar. He happens to be the same person who leaked the Lumia 650 and Lumia 850. Apart from sharing the image, he also revealed that the device will sport a 5.7-inch display.

With a render image like this already set up, it would appear that Microsoft is now far along the development of the Microsoft Surface Phone. However, there are some rumors that it won't be out this year and will be launched spring next year instead.

Meanwhile, there's another leak, this time picked up by Mobipicker from Weibo, which is claiming that the Microsoft Surface Phone will come with 500GB storage with 8GB RAM to boot.

This report is yet to be corroborated, but is entirely possible if Microsoft is determined to make the Microsoft Surface Phone stand out. The tech titan yearns to be as literal as it can be when it says that its flagship will be a pocket-sized computer.

The leak also states that the Microsoft Surface Phone will also come with a variant with 32GB storage paired with 3GB RAM and a 128GB model with 6GB RAM, which is already at premium-level even without the beast of a 500GB model.

While all this sounds amazing, users are advised to take these leaks with a grain of salt. While Microsoft has made known its ambitious vision for the Microsoft Surface Phone, the software giant is yet to go into specifics about what's really in its flagship.
