Rumor has it Dell wants to create a similar kind of device to the Microsoft Surface Phone.  That's according to a report in WinFuture that says Dell is rumored to be working on a Windows 10 'Surface Phone' type of smartphone device that offer two displays and the Snapdragon 850.

WinFuture says that has Dell has been doing some work on the rumored smartphone/laptop hybrid device since last summer under the codename of Dell "Januss."

BGR speculated that if the reports of the two screens are true, the device could resemble the ZTE Axon M, which hinges two screens together, or that Dell could choose to position them on opposite sides of one of the phone's halves.

Snapdragon 850 is reportedly being used in some ARM-based Windows computers coming out this year from HP, Lenovo and ASUS.

But WinFuture says that the smartphone-style device in development at Dell is not actually an ARM-based Windows computer as it will incorporate only smartphone hardware.

Whatever it includes, there's a good chance it will offer some competition to Microsoft's lauded Surface Phone - if that device ever sees the light of day.  Fans of that device have been waiting patiently for more news of the rumored Surface Phone 2 even though it hasn't been officially announced by Microsoft.

According to WindowsReport, patents filed by Microsoft have fuelled the belief that Microsoft is working on the Surface Phone 2 and that 3 recent patents have included foldable features and curved edged display.

In the meantime, there's no harm in imagining what such a device would look like and that's exactly what designer Harry Dohyun Kim with a concept that imagines a hinged two-screen device.

According to Windows Latest, Kim says that the device is powered by a fully modular platform (Windows Core OS).  It also reports that the Redmond-based tech giant's new rumored device is going by the codename of Andromeda.
