The lates 12-inch Apple Macbook is set to be made available starting April 10 but with a hefty price tag, consumers are bound to think twice. Apple has been known to offer high-priced devices and the upcoming Macbook is no exception.

But price comparison should not be the only concern for most. It would largely depend on how either the Macbook or the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 would be used. And for each standing feature comes an advantage for each.

For example, the MacBook does not come with the touch screen feature which has been all the rave these days. Though not all consumers may be fine with the touch screen technology, it does ease the burden of navigation and not to mention the adaptation of advancements in computing technology. Should this be the case, the Surface Pro 3 is certainly one that seems more advanced.

However, the MacBook has its share of advantages. One is that it is slightly lighter at 2.03 pounds and just 13.1 mm thick compared to the Surface Pro 3 which is 2.5 pounds.

As far as the packed power each would have, the MacBook will make use of an Intel Core M processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of Flash Storage. The Microsoft Surface Pro will be available in variants (i3, i5 and i7) and internal capacity starts at 64GB. Prices would incrementally increase from there.

When it comes to color and resolution, the MacBook is of course the hands-down winner as always. Moreover, folks who have Apple devices and are seeking alternative storage, the MacBook should be a great option which should take a load off their iPhone or iPad.

If that doesn't mean too much, the Surface Pro 3 could be a cheaper alternative when it comes to storage solutions. So in all, it will really depend on usage.

Finally for pricing, the Apple MacBook would cost buyers somewhere between $1,299 to $1,599, depending on the specs buyers would prefer.

On the other hand, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 should be cheaper since it has already been around since last yet. Price ranges between $743.95 to $1,718, again depending on the specifications.

The price disparity differs greatly so as far as deciding which to buy, it would be best for folks to first identify the usage of the said device. That is really where the difference would be as well as on which of the two to actually get.
